This is a mini-window pane check trimmed out with white
grosgrain ribbon. 19th century fashions quite often displayed intricate
ribbon or fabric woven designs such as this. The white blouse is
accented with small pleats and a plain stand-up collar.

Specifically designed for a young lady, this two piece
ensemble is a soft olive green with an all-over magenta rose print, contrasting
piping and trim in solid magenta. Small, taylored ruffles outline
the jacket's bottom edge, sleeve edges and runs down the centerline of
the sleeves. A double ruffle and grow tucks finish the skirt.
